A Message from the Prep Headmaster: Nick Clogg
As we near the end of another term, it's time to reflect on our journey, marked by numerous highs and, thankfully, not too many lows. This term has been jam-packed with activities, accomplishments, and, of course, challenges. However, through it all, one thing remains certain - the unwavering commitment to our Marist values and ensuring the best interests of our boys remain at the forefront of our decision-making.
Our commitment to our values and the well-being of our staff and boys remains unwavering. Although we continue to face challenges, our outstanding Wellness department has assisted us in navigating these challenges with care and compassion. Ensuring the welfare of our team, both staff and boys is paramount as all play a pivotal role in shaping the experiences of our boys.
We've witnessed many successes this term, from academic achievements to extracurricular triumphs. However, even amid the celebration, we recognize the importance of continuous improvement and reflection.
Strategic planning for the next five years looms on the horizon. This session, scheduled for the upcoming term, will pave the way for our journey to 2030. Collaborating with an external specialist in education will provide valuable insights as we chart our course forward.
Amidst the anticipation of plans, we also prepare for transitions within our staff. Retirement and the end of contracts bring opportunities for new beginnings. The search for a Director of Ethos and Religion and a Cricket Professional signals a new chapter in our school's journey.
Beyond the confines of our school, recent insights from the SAHISA meeting shed light on broader societal dynamics. Amidst challenges, there are glimmers of hope, particularly in governance and accountability. As we navigate through uncertain times, positivity and proactive engagement become ever more apparent.
On the community front, our PTA-driven fundraising events have been resounding successes, showcasing our school's generosity and spirit of collaboration. The Outreach programme continues to foster connections beyond our walls, instilling values of empathy and service in our boys.
Sports, too, have been a cornerstone of our term, fostering camaraderie and sportsmanship among our boys. As we transition into the Winter sports season, the enthusiasm among our boys is palpable, promising exciting times ahead.
As we approach a well-deserved break in April, we do so with gratitude for the dedication and commitment of our staff, executives, and community. It is the collective effort and passion that make our school truly special. We eagerly anticipate the adventures and opportunities with the second term already fully booked.
In conclusion, this term has been a testament to our resilience, dedication, and unwavering commitment to excellence. As we pause to reflect and recharge, let us carry forward the lessons learned and the successes achieved, ready to embrace the next term with optimism and determination.
