Academic Awards Assembly

On the chilly morning of Friday the 7th of May, the College gathered in the quad to recognize and celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students in an academic awards assembly. 

Seven of our matric boys were awarded their Academic Honours Blazers. These blazers are awarded to any boy who achieves a combined aggregate of 86% in any two consecutive mark order reports from the end of Grade 11 to Term 3 of his Grade 12 year. This aggregate must include an examination mark. The following boys are to be congratulated on receiving this prestigious accolade: Mohamed Zidan Cassim, Joshua Dacre, Joshua Maroun, Matthew Shahim, Dale van der Merwe, Lukas van der Merwe, and Jacob Walbeck.

The assembly also saw the awarding of Academic Half Colours and Academic Full Colours. 

Half Colours are awarded to any boy who achieves a combined aggregate of 75% in any two consecutive Mark Order reports from the end of Grade 11 to Term 3 of his Grade 12 year. This aggregate must include an examination mark. The following boys are to be congratulated on achieving their Half Colours for Academics: Bradley Becker, Mohammed Azhar Cassim, Matthew Maccelari, Nkoliseko Nyubuse, Kaelin Poovalingam, Taran Rajcoomar, James Sheridan, Jay Lee Shih, Londisizwe Sibanda, Aidan Stuart, and Matthew Sweeney.

Full Colours are awarded to any boy who achieves a combined aggregate of 78% in any two consecutive Mark Order reports from the end of Grade 11 to Term 3 of his Grade 12 year. This aggregate must include an examination mark. We congratulate the following boys on their achievement of Academic Full Colours: Nathan Berlin, Rohan Bhatt, Mohammed Haffejie, Connor Human, Yaseen Mayet, Kabir Misri, Bolu Orimoloye, Neo Phihlela, and Adam Simpson.


We further celebrated the top ten academic achievers in each grade across the College, based on the results of term 1.
