Science: Aditya Kumar Reaches Finals of the Breakthrough Junior Challenge
Grade 11 student, Aditya Kumar, has reached the finals of international science competition, the Breakthrough Junior Challenge, with his video explaining the Physical Science phenomenon of Quantum Entanglement.
The International Breakthrough Junior Challenge is an annual global competition that invites high school students to create and submit an original video that explains a concept or theory from Life Sciences, Physics, or Mathematics. Submissions are judged on students' ability to communicate complex scientific ideas in a way that is imaginative and engaging. The prizes for the winning video are sponsored by well-known foundations established by people such as Mark Zuckerburg (founder and CEO of Meta), Susan Wojcicki (YouTube CEO) and Sergery Brin (Google co-founder). Prizes include a university scholarship to the value of $250 000 for the student, a $50 000 prize for the teacher, and a $100 000 state-of-the-art science lab for the winner's school.
The competition is currently in the popular vote section, which includes the top 30 videos from around the world. This is the final phase before the winner is selected. We urge our community to watch Aditya's fascinating video and learn all about Quantum Entanglement, and to support this young scientist in this competition by liking the video on Facebook and YouTube.
