Tyson Sithole makes M&G Top 200
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Tyson Mthokozisi Sithole (class of 2007) for being featured in this year's Mail & Guardian Top 200 Young South Africans list.
The Mail & Guardian Top 200 Young South Africans list is a prestigious initiative that serves to recognise individuals under 35 who "positively impact the world through future-focused innovation and passion" and are leaving an indelible mark for future generations. The theme for 2022 is "celebrating the creators of South Africa’s inclusive, equal and sustainable future", and the awards received over 3000 nominations.
Tyson has been recognised under the category of 'Civil Society' for his work as Chairman of the Temba Bavuma Foundation, an organisation that aims to provide children from previously disadvantaged backgrounds with access to education and upliftment through the sport of cricket. Tyson's work with the Temba Bavuma Foundation over the past 5 years has significantly impacted and improved the lives of a number of scholars whose schooling has been sponsored by the Foundation. Tyson, who is Senior Vice President of Structured Capital Investment Banking at the Standard Bank Group is also Vice-Chair of the St David's Marist Foundation and is an active member of the Marist Old Boys' Association.
