Victory for Prep Water Polo
Our Prep Water Polo 1st team competed in the St Stithians Invitational Junior Boys' Water Polo Tournament from Friday 28 - Sunday 30 October. Our boys won every match they played, and won the tournament overall. Well done gents!
The Saints Water Polo Invitational Tournament invites boys and girls from primary and high schools across South Africa for a weekend of friendly competition and sportsmanship. It is arguably the largest schools water polo tournament at a single venue on the continent, meaning that the boys of Inanda had fierce competition and a lot of teams to beat!
The St David's team played seven games in total, and boasted seven substantial wins. Highlights include a 29-0 win against St John's in the group stage, and a 26-1 win against Kwa-Zulu Natal's Highbury Prep in the quarter-finals. The tournament was won with a final score against St John's of 11-2.
This tournament marks the final tournament for the 2022 Prep 1st team, and for some of our students it was their final tournament for the St David's Prep. The team has worked extremely hard throughout the year to become a cohesive unit capable of excelling. These final matches - not only the scores, but also the boys' performances in and out of the pool, made evident the effort this team dedicates to the sport.
We congratulate the team on a superb performance throughout the festival, and the year, and on their overall victory.
