College Golfers at Woodlands Junior Masters
Two of our College Golf teams participated in the highly competitive Woodlands Junior Masters Golf Championships from 14 to 16 May. This prestigious event brought together some of the most promising young golfers from various institutions, providing a platform for them to showcase their skills and sportsmanship.
Despite facing stiff competition from 11 other teams, the St David's sides displayed great sportsmanship, exceptional talent and determination, with our 1st team finishing an impressive 5th overall. The team's performance showcased their dedication to the sport and their ability to handle the pressure of such a high-stakes tournament.
Andreas Yiallouris in Grade 11, exhibited remarkable skill throughout the championship, finishing the tournament 13th individually, with a score of 8 over par. This accomplishment is a testament to his commitment to honing his craft and his ability to rise to the occasion on a demanding course.
Beyond the scores and rankings, the most important aspect of the Woodlands Junior Masters Golf Championships was the enjoyment and camaraderie displayed by our college golfers. The tournament provided a unique opportunity for them to bond with teammates, build lasting friendships, and create cherished memories.
