Old Boy Manqoba Bungane Heads to World Water Polo Championship
We are delighted to share that Manqoba Bungane (Class of 2021) has been selected for the U20 South African Water Polo squad competing in the 2023 World Aquatics Men's Water Polo Championships to be held in Romania in early June. The World Aquatics U20 Men's Water Polo Championships will see three hundred water polo players representing 20 nations from across the globe competing for the title.
Bungane is no stranger to representing our nation in international competitions. During his matric year, he competed in the FINA World Men's Junior Water Polo Championships, with the South African side placing 12th overall. Following this tournament, Manqoba was awarded his National Protea Colours for Water Polo. Earlier this year, Bungane also represented South Africa in the Men's Water Polo World Cup Division 2 qualifiers team.
We are extremely proud of Manqoba, and wish him and the South African squad all the best!
