The Pharoah Inanda Hoops basketball tournament has reached its business stages, with Monday featuring the highly anticipated semifinals in both the U18 and U15 sections. The tournament has been a whirlwind of thrilling action, and as we head into the crucial phases of the competition, the excitement is palpable.

To address an impending weather concern, organizers have made a significant change to the schedule. The action will now kick off bright and early at 7:30 am, a decision made to avoid expected bad weather later in the day. The finals are scheduled for 10 am and 11:15 am.

Their impeccable form has led them to the quarterfinals, where they secured a resounding victory over Soweto Academy with a score of 62-50. Notably, they haven't lost a single game all weekend, making them the favorites to clinch the title. However, the road to victory won't be without its challenges. St David’s Marist Inanda is set to face St Benedict’s in the semifinals. St Benedict's, who have been displaying top-notch performances in both the U18 and U15 categories, pose a formidable opposition. The other U15 semifinal sees St Stithians taking on Mary Mount, two more teams with strong showings throughout the tournament.

In the U15 category, St John’s will go head to head with St Benedict’s, while St Alban’s will take on Michael Mount in the semifinals, promising exciting matchups in both divisions.
