Prep Swim-a-Long
The annual PTA Swim-a-Long is a long-standing tradition in the Preparatory School, beginning as far back as the late 1970s. After a brief hiatus due to COVID, the much-loved event returned in full swing on the 23rd of February, and the boys of the Prep spent the day swimming and enjoying the sun, before breaking up for mid-term.
The PTA Swim-a-Long encourages the community to sponsor swimming laps for students and staff, in order to raise money for PTA projects. The event was a magnificent success as a fund-raiser as well as a community builder. The boys and teachers entered into the spirit of the day by dressing-up in beachwear, swimming their laps, and through the camaraderie that they expressed on the day. Parents came out in droves to support the event, and many went above and beyond by assisting in counting laps.
The morning was capped off by Mr Clogg completing the traditional headmaster’s swim in his work clothes, much to the excitement of the boys.
