St David's Marist Inanda is a school that prides itself on its commitment to community engagement and social responsibility. The young gentlemen of St David's are encouraged to engage in community projects, allowing them to harness a sense of social consciousness and empathy towards those in different socio-economic contexts to their own.

As part of this commitment, St David’s Marist Inanda continues its partnership with M.C. Weiller Primary School through the Pad Princess Drive initiative, with students and staff donating necessary sanitary products and delivering these each month, to ensure that those who cannot afford these products are still able to participate fully in all aspects of life. We understand that menstruation is a natural and essential biological process that affects more than half of the world's population, yet many are unable to access the necessary sanitary products. This can lead to embarrassment, discomfort, and even exclusion from school and other activities. The young men of St David's recognise this issue and have taken action to address it.

In addition to fighting period poverty, our students have participated in a variety of other community projects, organising food drives to support local charities, volunteering at shelters for people experiencing homelessness, and even helping to build schools and houses in underprivileged areas. Through these projects, they have learned the value of hard work, empathy, and the importance of giving back to the community.

By participating in community projects, we believe that our students have not only made a positive impact on the wider community but have also developed valuable skills and qualities that will serve them well in the future - learning to work as a team, communicating effectively, and developing leadership skills. Community Engagement at St David’s Marist Inanda continues to be a pillar in the ethos of our school, and we remain committed to recognising our social responsibility, and endeavouring to uplift and positively impact communities and individuals beyond our gates. As a school, we are continually inspired by the initiative, care, and willingness to help from the students of St David’s, and it is evident that the next generation of leaders are stepping up and taking action to create positive change in the world.
