Canoeing training takes place at Emmarentia Dam in Greenside, and St David’s has been consistently competitive in the Gauteng Canoe Union Schools League.

We compete in the annual SA Schools Champs, and some of our top paddlers enter big events such as the Dusi Canoe Marathon. Our school paddlers join the Ddabulamanzi Canoeing Club, based in Emmarentia, and many continue to paddle for that club once they leave school.
