Our Prep Water Polo 1st team competed in the St Stithians Invitational Junior Boys' Water Polo Tournament from Friday 28 - Sunday 30 October. Our boys won every match they played, and won the tournament overall. Well done gents!

We congratulate Old Boy and former Basketball captain, Andile Akeru Fihla (class of 2021) on his selection as part of the Temple University Men's Basketball team, in Philadelphia - a D1 team, with many of its players going on to play Basketball professionally in the U.S.A.

On Friday, 28 October, the St David's Marist Inanda community assembled for Montagne Day Mass at the Fourviere Pool, where the College House Captains shared their house pledges, as well as an opportunity to honour the life and service of former St David's Chaplin Rev. Fr. Michael Austin SJ.

Over the mid-term break, St David's Marist Inanda held three concurrent festivals in both the Prep and College phases, for the sporting codes of Basketball, Cricket, and Water Polo, inviting well over 1 000 young sportsmen from schools across South Africa to enjoy our campus and share in the love of the game.

The St David's Marist Inanda Annual Art Exhibition returned in all its splendour after a near-three year hiatus, and the Champagnat Hall was transformed with colour, as we celebrate the creative endeavours of all our students from Mini-Marists to our Matric students exhibiting their final IEB artwork.

We are proud to share the awarding of four new National Protea Colours blazers in the College, bring the grand total for 2022 up to 7 students. Well done to these gentlemen on their dedication to their code, and for representing St David's Marist Inanda on the international stage. 

The Executive Matric Leadership group and House Leadership Body was announced during Speech Evening and at College Assembly, and we are pleased to announce Paolantonio Mariano as the 2023 Head of School, and Mark Ireland and Qhawe Manala as Deputy Heads of School.

The Matrics have entered the final phase of their schoolboy Marist journey this week as they prepare for their final IEB examinations and the school bids them farewell through key events that mark the closing of this chapter, and the opening the next.
