The long weekend kicked off with a bang as the 2023 St David's Marist Inanda Festival got underway on Thursday. The opening day saw thrilling U15 and U18 basketball matches in the #InandaHoops Classic Challenge basketball tournament, sponsored by PHAROAH AUTO, as well as U12 and U14 water polo games in the Inanda Cup tournaments. The action was non-stop, and there was no shortage of highlights to kick off this exciting event.

The Inanda Hoops Classic Challenge (IHCC), the premier high school basketball tournament in Southern Africa, is thrilled to unveil an extraordinary collaboration to redefine school basketball. We are proud to introduce Pharoah's Auto as the official title sponsor of this year's St David's Marist Inanda Hoops Classic Challenge, set to take place from Thursday, 26 October to Sunday,29 October 2023, at St David's Marist Inanda.

It was a delightful morning at St David's Marist Inanda when the school welcomed the proud parents and doting grandparents of its pre-prep (Mini Marist) students for the eagerly anticipated Grade 00 play. This enchanting performance, titled "The Lonely Leopards," not only entertained the audience but also imparted valuable lessons about the diverse wildlife of the African continent and the significance of kindness and mutual support.

What a day at St David's Marist Inanda! The College had the privilege of hosting two distinguished guests: Dr Naledi Pandor, South Africa's Minister of International Affairs, and Dr Max Price, former Vice Chancellor of the University of Cape Town. The event provided a unique opportunity for the students to delve into discussions on economic development, social and current affairs- fostering a rich exchange of ideas and perspectives.

St David's Marist Inanda boys students have been making waves outside the classroom with their exceptional extramural activities. From music to debate, drama, and cultural celebrations, the school community has been actively engaged in a wide range of activities that showcase their talents and dedication.

This term has been a hub of activity, featuring engaging tours, vibrant cultural events, and rigorous academic commitments across all grades. The Grade 7s have been diligently assessed through continuous skills-based activities and content reviews.
