Our athletes have showcased remarkable dedication and prowess throughout 2023, and the upcoming sporting events in 2024 promise to be nothing short of spectacular, as our young sportsmen are already fully involved and sparing no effort across sporting codes.

In a significant milestone for St David’s Marist Inanda, we proudly announce that we have been nominated in two distinguished categories for the 2023 Standard Bank Top Women Awards. The awards, in their 20th anniversary year, celebrate influential leaders and organisations that promote gender equality and women's empowerment across diverse sectors.

Inanda Cup, the prestigious water polo tournament, is approaching its climax with the under-14 and prep school divisions providing thrilling action for spectators and players alike. As the competition reached the semifinal stage, St John's and Affies secured their spots in the U14 final, while St Stithians and St David's emerged as the prep school finalists. Montrose Primary school, playing under the name Montrose Meteors retained their title at The Cricket Company St David’s Marist Inanda primary schools T10 tournament on Saturday, beating the Temba Bavuma Foundation-supported Temba Tigers by 33 runs in the final.

The long weekend kicked off with a bang as the 2023 St David's Marist Inanda Festival got underway on Thursday. The opening day saw thrilling U15 and U18 basketball matches in the #InandaHoops Classic Challenge basketball tournament, sponsored by PHAROAH AUTO, as well as U12 and U14 water polo games in the Inanda Cup tournaments. The action was non-stop, and there was no shortage of highlights to kick off this exciting event.

St David's Marist Inanda, a Marist Catholic Independent School for boys of all faiths, is renowned for its dedication to academic excellence and its strong values, notably "Humility, Simplicity, and Modesty." Established in 1941, St David's Marist Inanda is part of the Marist educational community, which embodies these core values. The school's commitment extends to five fundamental areas: Academics, Culturals, Leadership, Service, and Sport.

Twelve St David's Marist Inanda canoeists competed in the 2023 Sprint Canoeing Championships held towards the end of April. The gentlemen exemplified sportsmanship and performed extremely well, with many medals won and some of our College students being selected for various National squads that will compete internationally later this year. 

Our Prep Water Polo 1st team competed in the St Stithians Invitational Junior Boys' Water Polo Tournament from Friday 28 - Sunday 30 October. Our boys won every match they played, and won the tournament overall. Well done gents!
